The starter phase
Length: up to the loss of about 10 % of body mass (10 days maximum).
Daily energy intake: about 800 Kcal per day, to be adapted according to EER.

Necessary recommendations:
- Ban all sweet and starchy foods, crackers, alcohol, soda drinks (except for "light" beverages), cheese, sandwich meats, cream, prepared foods and pastries.
- Prepare KOT packets with water alone.
- Avoid weighing yourself more than once a week.
- Lapses from the program must be avoided during this phase.
- In case of cravings: consume additional KOT preparations and increase your intake of vegetables. Use the KOT Satiety anti-craving diet aids (2 tablets/day).
- In case of constipation, increase your intake of cooked green vegetables and choose magnesium-rich bottled water (Hépar®).
- In case of bloating, use the KOT Comfort transit-regulating supplement (3 tablets/day).
- Recommended potassium supplementation: use the KOT Starter Slimming Phase supplement (1 tablet/day).
