The Progressive Weight Loss Phase

This is a weight loss phase in the program that incorporates recommendations for the use of KOT preparations, which are taken directly from the nutritional protocol of the KOT study 1. This phase of the KOT method can help start the diet or act as a followup to the Starter Phase. Whatever the case, it must be followed by weight stabilization program with the Progressive Slimming Phase.

Recommended duration : 1 to 4 weeks depending on the desired weight loss.
Daily calorie intake: on average 1,200 Kcal for a woman, 1,500 Kcal for a man (or about 80 % of the EER).

Necessary recommendations:

  • Foods to be banned during the Intensive Slimming Phase: fried foods, processed foods, all sweet and starchy foods (except for traditional bread), crackers, alcohol, sodas (except for possibly "light" beverages), cheese, sandwich meats, canned food in oil, full fat sour cream, pastries.
  • In case of cravings: add a few additional KOT preparations.
  • In case you stray from the diet: eliminate bread and fruit the following day.
  • Recommended supplementation in vitamins and minerals: use the  KOT Intensive Slimming Phase supplement (1 capsule/day).
  • For a more effective start of your weight loss program, use the KOT Satiety anti-storage weight loss aid (3 tablets/day).

Tea or coffee without sugar

3 slices of traditional bred (45g) with a pea-size amount of butter (10g) or sugarless cereal

1 fruit

Raw vegetables + 1 tbsp of oil (mix of olive oil and colza)

Starches cooked al dente

1 fruit

1 non-fat yoghurt

1 KOT preperation

1 sugarless drink
